RE/Denny's #14 Team Sets Record for Wins

Bobby Measmer, Jr. and the Hughes Motorsports team put together a remarkable season in 2009, culminating with win number-six on their rookie season in the NASCAR Pro Late Model division at Concord Speedway on October 17th.  Next up for Hughes Motorsports is the Snowflake 100 Pro Late Model event at Five Flags Speedway (FL) on December 5th.

Have you ever felt like you were done wrong and wanted to make a statement? Well, that is how Bobby Measmer Jr. & Hughes Motorsports felt going into the final night of regular season competition at Concord Speedway.

We started the night by winning the pole by 2 tenths of a second over the eight-car field Saturday night. Our time however was disallowed when our spoiler angle was deemed to be out of tolerance. It should be noted that we had previously verified this with the Concord Tech officials, had checked and double checked the week before, and were clearly informed that we were in full compliance. This week however, we were informed

since that official was no longer working for Concord, it did not matter. This relegated our starting spot to 8th.  No biggie….

At the drop of the green flag, Bobby charged to the front, passing ALL seven cars in the first lap, and proceeded to lead every lap, almost lapping the entire field!

For the second feature of the night, we encountered a catastrophic engine failure on the pace lap and were unable to compete, a little mercy on our competitors!

All in all a great night and our 6th win  & 5th Pole (kind of) for the season!
